Patagonia Fly Fishing - This flagship, five-star resort is carefully disguised as a luxurious fishing lodge. It is located just one hour's drive north and east of Puerto Montt, on the shore of Lago Llanquihue (yan kee way), near the little town of Ensenada. YAN KEE WAY Lodge is a complement of buildings nestled within a small 12 acre forest on lake's edge, in the shadow of Volcano Osorno. This is the perfect place for groups, families and couples to come and relax, enjoy great fishing and/or indulge in a variety of outdoor activities.
The lodge fishes 3 large rivers, 6 smaller rivers, 2 large and 3 small lakes. A few of the better-known local waters are the Petrohue and Puelo Rivers, Lagos Llanquihue, Todos Los Santos, and Cayutue. Many people believe that the Petrohue provides one of the most scenic floats in South America. It has numerous braids with many pools and runs suitable for wading. Fishing is usually very productive for both brown and rainbow trout. Fish can range from 3 to 8 pounds. The river also supports runs of Steelhead, Atlantic, Chinook, and Silver Salmon.
Lodging is comprised of private chalets, bungalows and hotel style rooms. The 1,400 square foot chalets and bungalows are designed to accommodate groups of various sizes. After an exhausting day enjoy the wonderful spa facililty to recharge your batteries. At Yan Kee Way you can combine fishing packages with sport adventure activities such as rafting & boating, mountain bike expeditions, trekking, hiking, climbing, horseback riding, photography, cultural tours, and culinary expeditions.
