Belize Fishing
Belize is a small but extremely diverse Central American country that is renowned for its hospitality to visiting tourists. For decades Belize has been recognized as one of the world's premier destinations for back country and flats fishing, particularly for bonefish, tarpon, and permit (fishing's elusive "Grand Slam"). Belize truly is a tropical paradise.
Bonefishing in Belize offers something for anglers of all levels of experience. Novice anglers see hundreds of bonefish, providing an unequaled opportunity to learn the basics of saltwater angling; while experienced saltwater anglers find challenging bonefishing with plenty of shots at 5-10 pound fish. Permit have become the primary objective of many of our guests. On the bars and flats you can expect numerous shots at 10-15 pound permit, with some 20-35 pound fish. Most tarpon jumped are 60-90 pounds with some 100-130 pound.
As your guide yells "bonefish 11:00 o'clock, 40 feet," you will experience an extraordinary calming effect; not the nervousness you were expecting. It will be like you were always meant to be here. We hope you will make the journey some day.
