A Deluxe Fly-Out Lodge in The "Heart" of Bristol Bay

Fly Fishing Alaska and Pyscho Bitch

Alaska Fishing Lodge - Fishing Unlimited is a superb, Bristol Bay, fly-out fishing lodge whose backyard is the famous Iliamna Trophy Rainbow area. Four airplanes and highly experienced pilot/guides get you to Alaska's very best fishing country. They also strategically position at least 16 boats on rivers to take you to the hot spots which would otherwise be inaccessible.

Fishing Unlimited is in the midst of some of the world's best fresh water fishing. In all, they have access to a 30,000-square mile area of fishing paradise, including all of the Bristol Bay Watershed, Kodiak Island, Katmai and Lake Clark National Parks, and the Iliamna/Kvichak Watershed. The area abounds with a variety of species including all five Pacific Salmon: Kings (Chinook), Reds (Sockeye), Silvers (Coho), Pink (Humpy) and Chum. The region's legendary Rainbow Trout, colorful Arctic Char, Arctic Grayling, Northern Pike and Lake Trout are all wild and feisty.

Fishing Unlimited's pilots are both experienced pilots and seasoned fishing guides. They'll stay with you the whole day, giving you maximum freedom and flexibility. If you've never tried to spin or fly fish, they'll show you how. They can also show experienced anglers special techniques specific to Alaskan waters or can just get you to the fish and allow you to create your own magic.

It has been called "The Ritz Carlton of the Northland." The lodge sits on five acres of beautiful, lakeside, wooded land. Two large cedar lodges flank 9 cabins, two hot tubs and two wood fired saunas. At the end of your fishing day, you'll retreat to the comfort of your private cabin. You can shower, take an Alaskan style sauna, or slip into a hot tub to ease your fish-fatigued muscles. You'll be pampered with food and drink to make your evenings as relaxing as your days are exciting.

The nine cabins, scattered over the five acres, are tucked away in the trees and connected by cedar boardwalks. These warm hideaways sleep two people each. Each cabin is equipped with a bathroom, shower, 24-hour electricity, and plenty of space to organize your gear.

While you're on the river, the lodge will make sure your cabin is clean and well stocked with fresh towels. Upon your return, you'll discover ice for your cocktails and a freshly prepared appetizer waiting for you in your cabin. You can relax on your deck and take in the views of the sunrise and moonrise over the four thousand-foot Tanalian Peak just across the bay. Often you will spot any number of resident Dall sheep roaming the mountainside.

It's hard to believe, but the many compliments our guests give Fishing Unlimited each year, leave us wondering which they enjoyed most - the fishing or the food. The menu is hearty. The presentation is beautiful. And the food is absolutely delicious. A typical weekly menu may include Dungeness crab, grilled New York steak, salmon, halibut, barbecued baby back ribs, plus Italian, Mexican and Chinese dishes. And don't forget the homemade breads, rolls, desserts and other irresistible goodies.
